Hate sin and not the sinner

By Tafadzwa Hove

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

Christ didn’t come to condemn sinners, but to save them. This means He loves them. We should also love them.. as Christ has loved us too.

Many of us are trapped into the habit of judging and hating others whereas we ourselves are sinners too. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. No one is perfect.

So instead of hating the sinners let us all pray for God to give them the grace to quit sin.We should hate the act and not the sinner for we are not fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities and demons of all ranks and authority . Yes… Because he forgives everybody. No sin is too great or too small to be forgiven.

There’s need to talk salvation to sinners, not condemnation. Hate sin because a sinner can change. When you judge a sinner, you are chasing him or her away from repenting. Judge not, so you will not be judged( Matthew 7:1) There would be no opportunity for them to change when you judge them. Sinners can also be saved .

  1. OH absolutely true. Yet never let us forget that so much of the world is continuing to call SIN by some other name
all that falls short of the Word of God’s guidelines for behaviour is SIN. sinners need to know they are SINNERS . Once they KNOW they are sinners then and only then can they be told of the Saving Grace of God brought about by Christ on the CROSS. Jesus came into this world not to condemn the world that ALL through Him would be saved. The more we hug and bless and tell folks its ok if their lives are NOT in alignment with God’s Absolute Holiness the less we really are being LOVING. . Divine Love has standards of holiness we all will need to be IN a constant place of repentance to continue to live by. Judging others by our own standards is our SIN. Pointing people to the Higher Standards of God’s expectations is loving with Christ’s Love.

  2. This is so true Tafadzwa! If only the world can take a moment aback and train our minds not to rush to judgement – yet we are all sinners – the world could be a better place..
