Usain Bolt tests positive for covid-19

Jamaican athlete, Usain Bolt has tested positive for covid-19 after attending a birthday party. He celebrated his 34th birthday in his native, Jamaica with a party.

Bolt hosted other sports stars including Raheem Sterling of Manchester City, Leon Bailey as well as other stars.

Nationwide90FM reports that the 100 and 200 – metre world record holder will now be in self-isolation as a result of contracting the deadly virus.

Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga Champions for the eighth time

Bayern Munich FC were crowned Bundesliga Champions for the eighth time as they beat Werder Bremen 1-0.
Robert Lewandowski’s extraordinary finish, his 31st league goal of the season, sealed an eighth consecutive Bundesliga title for Hansi Flick’s side.
Bayern did not perform their best against a Werder Bremen side fighting for survival at the other end of the table.

Bayern needed one win from their remaining three games to wrap up another title whilst seven points clear of nearest rivals Borussia Dortmund with three games to go before kickoff.

Bolt becomes dad

The fastest man, Usain Bolt has become a dad for the first time after he and partner Kasi Bennett welcome baby girl.

Bolt, 33,who retired from athletic s in 2017 is still the fastest man in history.

The news was first publicly announced by Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Twitter on Monday.

He said, “Congratulations to our sprint legend Usain Bolt and Kasi Bennett on the arrival of their baby girl.

Cristiano Ronaldo sends coronavirus message

Portugal and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has shared coronavirus message via his Twitter account. His Juventus teammate,Daniel Rugani is in self isolation after testing positive to coronavirus. The football star has backed the postponement of all sport.

Covid-19 has become a global problem with Europe now at the centre of the outbreak.
Italy, the country where Ronaldo plays with Juventus , has been worst hit of all the European countries.

Here is Ronaldo ‘s message :

He posited, “The world is going through a very difficult moment which demands the utmost care and attention from all of us.

“I speak to you today not as a footballer player, but as a son, father, a human being concerned with the latest developments that is affecting the whole world.

“It is important we all follow the advice of WHO (World Health Organisation) and the governing bodies on how we handle this current situation.

“Protecting human life must come above any other interests.

“I would like to send my thoughts to everyone who has lost someone close to them, my solidarity to those who are fighting the virus, like my team-mate Daniele Rugani, and my continued support to the amazing health professionals putting their own lives at risk to help save others”, the star concluded.

Sport has taken action with almost every major sporting event or competition being put on hold in an effort to prevent the spread.
